Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns in the biggest WrestleMania main event of all time.

Royal Rumble 2022 got us on the Road to WrestleMania 38. Elimination Chamber threw a few spanners into proceedings

Rather than hold in his anger and wait till Mania, Brock Lesnar got himself added to the Chamber Match, nabbed the WWE Championship back and set up what's being billed as the biggest WrestleMania event of all time.

That doesn't mean the rest of the card is just there to fill space. Two massive Women's title matches, Edge enjoying the twilight of his career and, er, Logan Paul.

Like the last two years, it's a two-day affair. WrestleMania 38 takes place on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3, 2022 (Sunday, April 3 and Monday, April 4, 2022 in the UK).

It has a start time of 8pm ET/5pm PT (1am the following morning in the UK) each night

A one-hour kick-off show would start at 7pm ET/4pm PT (Midnight the following morning in the UK) each night

What's the full match card and predictions for WWE WrestleMania 38?

WrestleMania Saturday

WWE SmackDown Women's Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs Ronda Rousey

wwe wrestlemania 38 charlotte flair vs ronda rousey
WWE

For a while, this was the all-woman main event many were predicting for WrestleMania 35, but then Becky Lynch rose to The Man status and made herself utterly indispensible from proceedings.

Now we've got that face off that many believe Vince McMahon was eying up all along, and despite all that bad blood under the bridge (if you'll excuse the mixed metaphor) surrounding Ronda Rousey's departure, this is still looking pretty tasty a few years on.

Sure, there's not the simmering resentment a Ronday Rousey/Becky Lynch match would give us, but after an unsteady couple of weeks, RR is coming back into the sort of stunning style that made her a fan favourite during her first run.

Meanwhile Charlotte Flair is Charlotte Flair. That mix of talent, charisma, family status and the arrogance that brings, along with being a 13-time singles main roster champion.

But that arrogance will be her downfall, as the Baddest Woman on the Planet will be eager to show Flair and the fans just how good at this whole wrestling thing she reallyt is.

PREDICTION: Ronda Rousey

WWE Raw Women's Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs Bianca Belair

wwe wrestlemania 38 becky lynch vs bianca belair
WWE

As it stands, both women's single title matches are up for grabs on the first night of WrestleMania 38, and while the main goal for all four women is walking out with that gold around their waist, you can't help but feel there's a bit more at stake.

All the women, and you feel Becky Lynch in particular, will be hoping to score the main event spot, or at the very least have a match good enough to show that they were the one who deserved it.

She shouldn't need that incentive, as her battle with Bianca Belair has been reaching boiling point in recent weeks.

After Bex held off the incredible challenge from Lita at Elimination Chamber and Bianca won the Chamber match itself, these two were on a path to repeat their SummerSlam collision course.

Lynch came out on top that time in a matter of seconds, and Belair has been raging ever since. There's been threats to that remarkable hair/weapon, throat-crushing and allsorts, but it's that less-than-half-mintue defeat that surely will be at the forefront of Bianca's mind.

While lesser mortals would wither at the memory, Bianca will use it as the fire to propel her past Becky and back to EST status in the WWE.

PREDICTION: Bianca Belair

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs

wwe wrestlemania 38 usos nakamura boogs
WWE

At 42, it could well be that Shinsuke Nakamura's time in the main event picture as a singles star is behind him (though we feel he's surely got a run or two left in him at very top), but he's proved himself a willing and able singles man over the last couple of years.

He's got Rick Boogs in his corner this time, as he seeks to regain the title he last won with Cesaro a couple of years back.

They're not a bad team, but the only problem is that they're coming up against one of the most dominant tag teams in recent WWE history.

With The New Day's singles runs and Big E's awful injury, it's hard to see anyone quite on the level of Jimmy and Jey Uso these days when it comes to tag team wrestling, and while they may well have one eye on the Head of the Table's match, that's not till WrestleMania Sunday, so we think the'll do the business on night one.

PREDICTION: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)

Seth 'Freakin'" Rollins vs TBA

wwe wrestlemania 38 seth rollins vs tba
WWE

What would WrestleMania be without Seth 'Freakin' Rollins in the house?

From retiring the New Age Outlaws with The Shield in WrestleMania XXX on, he's always been a highlight of the Grandest Stage of them All.

But for weeks on end it appeared that he wouldn't have anything to do at the most Stupendous WrestleMania of all time.

He tried and failed to get a confrontation with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, he tried and failed get a match with Edge, he's tried and failed to get a tag team thing going.

And in the end, all he had to do was speak to Vince McMahon!

Vince has reassured Seth that he's going to have a match, which has been billed as "a" main event (whatever that means).

It was later confirmed that it would be on WrestleMania Saturday. As for his opponent?

We all know the rumours, and we think Seth will be wishing he'd have stayed at home by the time the second bell goes. All rhodes lead to a nightmare for Seth Rollins.

PREDICTION: NOT Seth Rollins

Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio vs Logan Paul and The Miz

wwe wrestlemania 38 the mysterios vs the miz and logan paul
WWE

Some people think he's an arrogant reality era shmuck who can't work and has no business in the ring, but we're actually massive fans of The Miz here at WWE. His tag partner on the other hand...

To be fair, Paul has had some amateur and professional boxing experience (and even an exhibition match with Floyd Mayweather Jr), but we're still not entirely convinced about him rocking up to WrestleMania.

Opposite these two are the father-son team of Dominik and Rey Mysterio, who have already held main roster tag team gold for a couple of months in their career.

On paper, you'd have to give this to The Mysterios, but they say you should never go into business with family, and we've got a sneaking suspicion that some simmering fraternal resentment may come to the fore and decide this one.

PREDICTION: Logan Paul and The Miz

Drew McIntyre vs Happy Corbin

wwe wrestlemania 38 drew mcintyre vs happy corbin
WWE

It's a bit of a dip for Drew McInytre, going from the man who deposed Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania to the guy looking to put away Happy Corbin (and Madcap Moss) just to settle their weird rivalry.

But you can only beat what's in front of you, and Drew will be looking to make short work of Corbin and show that he should be way higher up the card than he currently finds himself.

For his part, Corbin seems to be in a good place these days, and with Moss at his side you can never entirely count him out. That said, we're struggling to see past Drew here.

PREDICTION: Drew McIntyre

The New Day (King Woods and Kofi Kingston) vs Sheamus and Ridge Holland

wwe wrestlemania 38 new day vs ridge holland and sheamus
WWE

First thing's first: there are two former world champions going head-to-head in this match.

We should never forgot the utter joy of KofiMania, and Sheamus is a FOUR time world champion.

But for now, this tag match is informed by the unfortunate injury to New Day's Big E at the hand's of Ridge Holland.

Xavier Woods (still King fwiw) and Kofi are out for revenge, while Ridge Holland and Sheamus have proved they're not to be messed with.

Then you've got the wildcard of Pete Dunne, the Bruiserweight who'll swing the difference for the bad guys.

PREDICTION: Sheamus and Ridge Holland

WrestleMania Sunday

WWE Championship AND WWE Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns (c) [Winner Takes All Unification Match]

wwe wrestlemania 38 2022 brock lesnar vs roman reigns
      WWE

It's being billed as the biggest main event in WrestleMania history, and in some ways we can't help but agree.

Yes, we've been here before, way more than once, but it feels like THIS is the final blowoff it's all been leading to. Both men have ripped through all opposition over the years, and with both belts on the line (in a unification match no less), it couldn't feel any bigger.

We're hoping we won't get a repeat of their WrestleMania 34 match-up, which came at the end of a long long show and saw both men limply hitting their finishers over and over again to no avail, until Reigns eventually slunk out on top.

Instead, we'll gladly take something like their first Mania main event.

Few people remember these days after Seth Rollins' briefcase interruption and strap waivng shenanigans, but that match was AMAZING even before the former Architect of The Shield got involved.

With something of that quality, we won't even care who wins. As for who we think WILL win... we're giving this one to Roman Reigns, because we think he'll play just about dirty enough to make sure he gets the job done.

      PREDICTION: COMING SOON

WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Queen Zelina and Carmella (c) vs Sasha Banks and Naomi vs Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan vs Natalya and Shayna Baszler

wwe wrestlemania 38 women's tag team championship
      WWE

Given that there haven't been any "proper" women's tag teams in this division for a long, long time, it's surprising not just that this match is on the card, but also that it's a Fatal Four Way match.

Queen Zelina and Carmella have the champions' advantage, but that counts for less than nothing when there are three other teams in the match.

Each of the teams feels pretty much jammed together at relative short notice to yoink a spot on the WrestleMania card and a chance at some gold, and who can blame them?

It promises to be fast, frantic and fun, but what we're really hoping is that once the dust has settled, the winners actually get themselves a good old-fashioned team name, and we get enough women on the roster and proper tag teams to make this belt worth having.

Without that, the winners (we predict: Rhea and Liv Morgan just because they seem to want it most), should just retire the damn thing.

PREDICTION: Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship: RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) (c) vs The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis)

wwe wrestlemania 38 rkbro vs street profits vs alpha academy
      WWE

Now THESE guys are tag teams. Not because the competitors are necessarily more talented or worthy than the Women's Tag Team match-up (because there's plenty of talent to go round in both matches), but because each of the three teams here are proper tag teams.

Alpha Acaademy have been together since last November. Otis was reeling from his split from Heavy Machinery buddy Tucker. Gable has never really found the form he was in alongside Jason Jordan. Together though, they've regained some of that buzz they were missing before and have enjoyed a brief run as champs already.

The Street Profits were maybe THE highlight of NXT during their run as champs there, and on the main roster they've already had reigns on both Raw and SmackDown.

RK-Bro have defied all expectations (okay, our expectations), and have flourished as a tag team, developing the most incredible odd couple chemistry despite their previous status as singles stars, and are two times Raw tag team champions, and, dare we say it, even looking comfortable.

This match has the capacity to steal the night, if not the whole event, should everyone being firing on all cylinders, and we fancy Chad Gable and Otis to use their mix of power and amateur wrestling skills to come out on top.

PREDICTION: Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis)

      Edge vs AJ Styles

wwe wrestlemania 38 edge vs aj styles
      WWE

Woof. What a dream match-up. AJ Styles, who for years many thought would never make it to WWE, and Edge, who we ALL thought had retired for good before his shock return a couple of years back.

Edge was obviously loved by all when he made his comeback, but the relationship with teh fans has turned sour in recent months, and Edge blames his lack of well, edge, for his falling short in his recent match-ups.

AJ Styles won his last WrestleMania outing alongside Omos to win WWE Raw Tag Team gold, but his last singles match was a defeat to The Undertaker at the Boneyard.

This feels like a big one for both men. Edge needs this win to show that he can still hang at the top after his comeback. AJ Styles is only a few years off him and surely is nearing his last solo run, too.

If either man is to seriously challenge for some big gold in the next year or two, now's the time to do prove it.

As it goes, we're going for AJ Styles to just come out on top – but it'll be close.

      PREDICTION: AJ Styles

      Bobby Lashley vs Omos

wwe wrestlemania 38 bobby lashley vs omos
      WWE

Bobby Lashley was at the very top of the tree not long ago, but then the Brock/Roman train knocked him off course, and then knocked him the hell out at Elimination Chamber.

That injury was supposed to keep him out for a few months, but Bobby Lashley isn't your regular wrestler.

He's stormed back to health, and is now on a collision course with one of the only men of the stature to go head-to-head to him and not look visibly outmatched.

Omos was looking like a pretty tidy bit of muscle for his pal AJ Styles, and since he's struck out on his own he's been just as powerful forging his own path.

It may not be a technical masterpiece, but this confrontation should be a lot of fun.

We're lookign forward to thes two powerhouses colliding with each other in an explosion of muscle, and we're expecting Omos's better state of fitness to get him over the line.

      PREDICTION: Omos

      Sami Zayn vs Johnny Knoxville

wwe wrestlemania 38 sami zayn vs johnny knoxville
      WWE

Another celebrity match. Though to be fair Johnny Knoxville has probably taken more bumps than the whole Raw and SmackDown roster put together.

But... it's still Johnny Knoxville, and he's against Sami freakin' Zayn. C'mon.

      PREDICTION: Sami Zayn

      Pat McAfee vs Austin Theory

wwe wrestlemania 38 pat mcafee vs austin theory
      WWE

Yet ANOTHER celebrity match, of sorts. But Pat McAfee isn't just any celebrity, and it's fair to say the NFL's in his past and he's a legit WWE man now, out the ring and in it.

From his NXT TakeOver XXX match with Adam Cole on, he's proved that he can go in the ring when called, as well as mouthing off outside of it.

Originally this looked like it was going to be Pat McAfee against the 76-year-old Vince McMahon. Thank heavens that's not the case.

Instead, he's going toe-to-toe with Vince's current Chosen One, Mr Austin Theory,

And despite all the props that McAfee has earned, with Mr McMahon behind him and his full time career being in the ring, we're giving it to the protege.

      PREDICTION: Austin Theory

      Rumoured Matches:

      • Kevin Owens vs 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin - currently set for a KO Show confrontation

wwe wrestlemania 38 stone cold steve austin vs kevin owen
        WWE

        • Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
