"Meet Viktor Hargreeves."

The Umbrella Academy season 3 will officially acknowledge Elliot Page's transition.

Netflix, the home of The Umbrella Academy, also shared on its LGBTQ+ page: "FEELS SO GOOD TO SAY THIS: Elliot Page stars as Viktor Hargreeves in Umbrella Academy S3!!!"

The streamer's main account wrote: "Welcome to the family, Viktor — we're so happy you're here."

A statement obtained by The AV Club confirmed that Page's The White Violin "will come out as transgender in season 3 and be henceforth known as 'Viktor Hargreeves'".

But until the comic book show's newest episodes drop this summer, we won't know how Viktor's transition will unfold on screen.

In March 2021, Page addressed his decision to come out as transgender.

"I felt like a boy. I wanted to be a boy. I would ask my mum if I could be someday. I became a professional actor at the age of 10. Of course I had to look a certain way," he explained.

"I just never recognised myself. For a long time I could not even look at a photo of myself... [I didn't know] how to explain to people that even though [I was] an actor, just putting on a T-shirt cut for a woman would make me so unwell."

The Umbrella Academy seasons 1-2 are now streaming on Netflix. Season 3 is due to premiere on June 22.
