Loose Women's Stacey Solomon replaces Tom Allen as Bake Off: The Professionals host

Choux la la, indeed.

Stacey Solomon is swapping the Loose Women panel for something a little tastier, as she gets set to join the Bake Off: The Professionals team.

The Great British Bake Off spin-off, which airs on Channel 4, announced the news that Stacey would be taking over from former host Tom Allen when the competition returns.

Alongside a photo of Stacey, former Bake Off contestant and co-host Liam Charles, and judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden, the show's official Twitter account introduced the newest member of their "petit fours-ome".

"Choux la la! We're chuffed to announce that @StaceySolomon will be joining @LiamCBakes, @BenoitBlin_MCA and @Cherish_Finden for the next series of Bake Off: The Professionals," they said. "Welcome to the petit fours-ome, Stacey!"

Bake Off: The Professionals started life on BBC One in 2016, where it was initially known as Bake Off: Crème de la Crème. Following the series' move to Channel 4, Professionals welcomed a new presenting team and a tweaked format.

The show sees 12 teams of professional pastry chefs from the likes of high-end hotels and restaurants compete with one another to win the coveted silver platter, and the knowledge that they make some of the most delicious creations in the land.
