Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner confirms pregnancy on the Oscars red carpet

She previously welcomed a child with Joe Jonas in 2020.

Game of Thrones and X-Men star Sophie Turner has confirmed the latest pregnancy rumours in the most Hollywood way possible: by showing off her baby bump on the red carpet of the Oscars.

The actress attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party with her husband Joe Jonas, wearing a red gown, with hair and lipstick to match. She probably wasn't referencing Dark Phoenix with the colour scheme, but we'd like to think she is. As you can see in the photos, she's cradling quite a prominent baby bump.

Meanwhile, Joe wore an intriguing black suit with a human silhouette outline as he posed alongside his wife.

The couple started dating in 2o16, before becoming engaged the next year and tying the knot in 2019. She gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Willa, in July 2020.

The pair like to keep their private life private, and have never shared a photo of their daughter on social media, so when a photographer had taken a picture of Willa and had it published, she insisted that it didn't happen again.

"I just want to say that the reason that I am not posting pictures of my daughter and making sure that we can avoid paparazzi at all costs is because I explicitly do not want those photos out there," she explained.

"She is my daughter. She did not ask for this life, to be photographed. It's f**king creepy that grown old men [are] taking pictures of a baby without their permission. I'm sickened, I'm disgusted, and I'm respectfully asking everyone to stop following us around and stop trying to take pictures of our daughter, and especially printing them."

A condensed highlight show of this year's Oscars, which made headlines for its on-stage confrontation between Will Smith and Chris Rock, airs on Sky Cinema Select at 7pm on Monday, and will be replayed at 10pm on Sky Max and Sky Showcase. You can find out all the winners right here.
