American Horror Story star Billie Lourd has shared some wonderful news with her social media followers.

The actress posted some photos for her Instagram followers this week showcasing her gorgeous wedding to partner Austen Rydell in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (as reported by Vogue).

Lourd told Vogue that she chose Rodarte to create her wedding gown after designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy actually interviewed her late mother Carrie Fisher several years earlier.

"When I started thinking about who I wanted to design my wedding dress, they were the first people who came to mind," she explained. "I have always been a massive fan of their work and thought their elegant, ethereal, unique style was a perfect fit for my – kind of – elegant, ethereal, unique personality."

The actress also mentioned that she'd filled her wedding day with various activities meant to pay tribute to both her mum Carrie and late grandmother Debbie Reynolds, who died only a few days apart.

Billie and Austen welcomed their first child, a son called Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell, back in the autumn of 2020. She announced his arrival with a photo of the baby wearing "space PJs".

The outfit choice was very appropriate since Kingston's grandmother played General Leia Organa in the Star Wars movies, and later his mum Billie would join her as resistance fighter Kaydel Ko Connix.

The actress is next set to star in Ticket to Paradise, a new romantic comedy with George Clooney and Julia Roberts. The film casts Clooney and Roberts as Lourd's on-screen parents, as they try to convince her not to get married on a whim during a post-grad holiday.

Ticket to Paradise, the latest movie from Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again director Ol Parker, is currently expected to open in October.
